  This is a picture of Waimea Canyon located in Waimea, Hawaii which is on the island of Kawaii. I personally have visited both the Grand Canyon, and Waimea canyon; Waimea tops the Grand Canyon in every category for me, severely underrated and deserves more attention. All I really want is for the readers to see it as a cool picture, as nature can be truly unique and incredible. I want readers to look at the picture and want to go outside and experience nature for themselves. I also want readers to see how Waimea canyon is better than the Grand Canyon due to how colorful it is in comparison. I want to put Waimea Canyon on the map to be one of the best canyons in the world. The Repetition in the arching peaks really makes the valley below stick out showing us what real depth looks like, the repeated Greenery makes a colorful scene jam packed with wildlife and a thriving ecosystem.  It is going better than expected; I thought it wise to pair us up into groups during the welcome week to help familiarize us with our classmates. I have not taken many writing classes, only 1 or 2 during high school, so I am still trying to figure out what to expect from this class. I hope it is not too bad since we do not have many quizzes, looking at the syllabus. Overall, I hope to learn how to write more professionally and gain understanding through this course of what professors demand in essays and assignments that will hopefully allow me to put forth better work in the future, and it all starts here. I plan to make this class work; I think the same way as most people would, to just do the work on time and put in time/effort to understand the material and lessons. Simple things like that, in my opinion, go a long way.
